March 20th Update
A Letter From Pastor Chris:
Hello Seven Lakes Baptist Church Family,
This week has been very busy with so many Coronavirus information updates. I have talked to some medical professionals and our elders in order to make the best possible decision for SLBC. I appreciate all of the prayers and encouraging words from all of you as we weigh out our options. I also want to praise our staff and our team of Elders. They have so much wisdom and concern for you and they have been a blessing to me.
After long deliberation with our leadership, considering updated information that is now available, we have decided to cancel all church activities for this week. We are not canceling because we are afraid of this virus or because everyone else is. We are following the procedures set by the CDC and our state because it is the best possible way to reduce the threat of this virus to everyone. We will make a decision next Thursday, March 26 as to how we proceed from here. To clarify, Small Group meetings, Youth related activities and the Men’s Breakfast are all canceled. The March 22 business meeting and the March 28 Sweetheart Banquet are postponed until further notice.
As an encouragement to you, our church family, there will be a service this week that we can all watch online from our favorite chairs at home. This is a recorded service that you do not want to miss! It is a panel discussion which will answer the questions that you have provided. It will be available on our website, YouTube, Facebook and Right Now media. I pray that you will join us in watching, as we continue this series on the Bible.
